This week had a bit of everything: some productivity, some calm moments, and a small highlight towards the end… but we’ll get to that.
Let’s start with Monday, April 27th.
A classic “back to business” kind of day. Keeping an eye on the international email (as always) and finally finishing the backlog of blog posts. I’m slowly but surely catching up, which honestly feels like a personal achievement at this point.
I also had my Swedish class, where we got the final notes for our assignment. It’s starting to feel very real now… and I’m still trying to figure out how to sound confident while speaking Swedish.
Tuesday was a bit more packed.Alongside emails, I prepared Excel and Word documents for Vladimir so the data can be entered into Ladok—the system where all students are registered. Not the most exciting task, but there’s something very satisfying about getting everything neatly organized.
Later, I had a meeting with other coordinators from Stockholm as well as the head of the student union. It’s always interesting to see how other universities handle things and how many topics overlap.
Wednesday felt unusually quiet—no department meeting since Ghada is on vacation.
Instead, I met with a student who’s interested in going abroad for a traineeship and had quite a few questions. It’s kind of nice realizing that I’m now in a position where I can actually answer those questions from my own experience.
Thursday was a half-day, so no Swedish class either.
I still kept an eye on emails, started working on my essay for Swedish class (with a healthy amount of procrastination), and began editing George’s video.

And then… date night. We got a little dressed up and went to the cinema at Mall of Scandinavia—VIP seats included (they recline all the way, which is both amazing and dangerously close to falling asleep). We watched The Devil Wears Prada 2 and followed it up with a mini dinner date.
Honestly? 10/10 evening.
Friday was a red day—May 1st, Labour Day—so no work, just a day to relax.
And the weekend? I got a new tattoo. My biggest one so far—and definitely the most visible.
Let’s just say: I love it.
Let’s also say: my mom doesn’t need to know just yet.
