Week 10 - shortest work-week yet

Week 10 felt like a softer week overall, because Easter break shifted the work rhythm a little and gave the days a more flexible shape. Even so, there was still plenty to do, especially with video editing and keeping track of the international email, so it was not exactly a full holiday week either.

Monday was Easter holiday, which meant a proper pause at the start of the week. Sometimes it is surprisingly hard to fully switch off, but this was still a nice chance to breathe before the rest of the week started up again.

Tuesday was back to work with the usual international email check-in, but I also started cutting the videos. That immediately gave the week a different energy, because editing always feels like entering a completely separate kind of focus zone. It was calm work, but definitely not mindless.

Wednesday continued in the same way, with more international email updates and more video cutting. By then I was getting properly into the editing flow, which made the day feel productive without being too hectic. It is always satisfying when a task that seems big at first starts becoming more manageable piece by piece.

Thursday included updating the accepted students in the Excel table as they replied, checking the international email, and continuing the video work. It was only a half day, though, because I went to a spa later on, which made the afternoon feel like a very welcome reward. A little balance is always a good thing.

Some Spa-Spam

Friday was a special day off at the spa in Nacka, which made for a very peaceful end to the work week. It was exactly the kind of reset that makes the next stretch of work feel easier. Sometimes the best productivity strategy is simply resting properly.

The weekend took me to Gothenburg, where the train journey itself became editing time — about 10 hours in total, which made it perfect for cutting videos and transcribing them for subtitles and written interviews.

We also celebrated my old friend Vincent’s birthday with a Swedish board game based on a game show, Cards Against Humanity, and some cat snuggles from Elin’s cat Saturn.

It was a very good mix of work, travel, and fun.
